This narration dealt with an important and thorny topic at the same time, which is the killing of Ali bin Abi Talib by the external Abd al -Rahman bin Maljam al -Muradi, the reasons for the great strife and the conflict over the caliphate between Ali, Muawiyah and Amr bin Al -Aas and the transmission of the caliphate to the Umayyads. Zidane continues this historical era through his distinguished novel narration and its transition as usual between two basic node: a historical node and a romantic node, and the romantic knot here was the story of Saeed, Khawla and the details of their virgin love and obstacles that faced the story with a wonderful and interesting plot.
