His work is characterised by lucid prose, biting social criticism, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialisYevgeny Zamyatin (20 January / 1 February, 1884 10 March 1937), sometimes anglicized as Eugene Zamyatin, was a Russian author of science fiction, philosophy, literary criticism, and political satire.Ayn Rand (born Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum February 2,1905 March 6, 1982) is known for her fiction and for developing a philosophical system she named Objectivism. Born and educated in Russia, she moved to the United States in 1926.
