Autorenporträt
Denise was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the University of Cincinnati. Denise was very involved in several Black History Month events at the University and in 1994, she received the Editor's Choice Award for outstanding poetry from National Library of Poetry. Denise is a traveler, has been to Belgium and South Africa.
