A Bully in the Closet: Memoirs of a Golf Widow is the life story of a woman born in the 20th century who was raised in a middle-class family, attended Catholic schools, became a college professor, and a CPA. She married young without a great deal of experience with men. She raised four children. Her husband was very controlling. He was a misogynist, a misopedist, a gambler, and an asexual. She asked for a divorce because of his child abuse. She was hospitalized for an apparent mental illness. She recovered and supported her children all of whom graduated from college. She lives with her son in the Adirondacks. In this book, she shares the warning signs of a dysfunctional marriage.
