Who we become is not only the sum total of our genetic material (the science or nature), but also, and probably more importantly, it is the sum total of our shared experiences in this life (the art or nurture). Through poetry, an individual is able to provide readers with a glimpse into the art that has influenced his/her life to make them who he/she is today.
