Autorenporträt
Fran is a graphic artist, illustrator and graphic designer, aside from being the founder of Mundial design studio and the Montevideo Drawing Club. Drawing is the main language of his creations in the fields of art, graphic design, animation and illustration. His work has been exhibited in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Bogota and New York. In 2015, he was given the National Illustration Award for Children and Teen's Literature in Uruguay for the series "Un día de gatos" ("A cat's day"), inspired by living with Rumba, his incorrigible cat, and published here in album book format. In 2018, this same series was selected for the International Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children Book Fair.
