Autorenporträt
I grew up in Spokane, Washington, graduated from North Central High School, where I majored in bookkeeping and other office practice studies. I got married soon after graduation. My husband and I lived in Idaho for a few years in a community called Benewah where my husband was involved in the logging and lumber hauling business. While living there I wrote the local community news for two newspapers, one in St. Maries, Idaho and the other in Tekoa, Washington. Later we moved back to Spokane and opened up a used car lot. Family members had emigrated to Southern California and convinced us it would be a good move to relocate to a warmer climate, which we did along with our six children. In Riverside, California my husband became a realtor. I took a college course in Accounting and followed that profession for a few years. After we had been in California for fifteen years we were offered a job in Portland, Oregon. While in Portland I worked as a tax preparer for several years. We lived in Portland for the next twenty-eight years until my husband met with an accident that ended his life. We had been married for sixty years and three weeks the day he died. I, along with one of my daughters, decided to move back to California to be near another daughter and her family and that is where we both now live. I have written several articles for a small news magazine published for our manufactured home community. Since I like to write about many things, I have contributed several stories and poems over the past few years and hope to continue on for as long as I am asked to do so.
