Jonathan Gilmore is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center and Baruch College, New York, USA. A philosopher of art and an art critic, he is the recipient of NEH, Whiting, Mellon, and other national fellowships and awards. His most recent book, Apt Imaginings: Feelings for Fictions and Other Creatures of the Mind , was awarded the 2021 Outstanding Monograph Prize by the American Society for Aesthetics. Lydia Goehr is a Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University, New York, USA. She is a recipient of Mellon, Getty, and Guggenheim Fellowships.
