The craving of the Germans for magical rituals and healers of all stripes after the Second World War seems quite logical in this series. The mass death of people, the collapse of the state, the collective sense of guilt - all this pushed the citizens of the newly formed Federal Republic of Germany to seek support in the sphere of the irrational. The book is full of examples related to specific destinies, the narrative is easily perceived and captures no less than any other mystical thriller.
