Amy Raphael has been writing about popular culture and sport for over 30 years. Her most recent book, A Seat at the Table: Women on the Frontline of Music, was published earlier this year. She co-wrote Steve Coogan's autobiography, Easily Distracted, and worked with David Hare on his memoir, The Blue Touch Paper. As a journalist, Amy has interviewed around a thousand pop culture icons, including Kurt Cobain, Patti Smith, George Best, Steve McManaman, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Grant, George Pelecanos and Sir Peter Blake. Amy was features editor of both The Face and Elle and then editor-at-large and sports editor of Esquire. She has written for myriad magazines and all the major UK broadsheets.
