The author is a registered nurse, certified case manager who has been in practice since 1980. Her clinical experience includes psychiatric nursing, peritoneal and hemodialysis, emergency room, Assistant Head Nurse, Head Nurse, Director of Case Management, operating room, intensive care, telemetry, home health, hospiice and workers compensation. Through her role as a registered nursea, certified case manager, experience was gained in acute and chronic disease management, oncology and organ transplantation.
