Invasive non-native species are a major threat to global biodiversity, with serious environmental and economic impacts. It is a priority to prevent and control their introduction and spread. Freshwater ecosystems are particularly at risk, and facilitate the spread. This book reviews the current state of knowledge of the most notable global invasive freshwater animal and plant species and methods of controlling them.
