A Journey with Strangers is Mark's first autobiographical novel. Mark was a teenager of the 1970s, a time before cell phones, cable TV and internet, a time when the only way to truly learn about the world was to venture out into it. For him, this road trip opened a path of self-discovery that he would not fully appreciate or comprehend until years later. Which is why he finally chose to write about it. In his professional life, he works in the biotechnology industry developing clinical diagnostic tests that improve a physician's ability to diagnose and treat their patients. He continues to be passionate about running, hiking, and music. He lives in Carlsbad, CA.
