Weaving in childhood memories of the family tea shop, Peter's, with older events from her parents' youth and a few of her father's delicious recipes, this nostalgic memoir describes a life shaped by cakes.

Autorenporträt

Louise Johncox was born in Weybridge, Surrey, where her father worked as a baker and chocolatier in the family tea shop from 1958 to 2000. She comes from a long line of pastry chefs originating from Poschiavo on the Swiss Italian border. Instead of following in the family tea shop tradition, Louise trained as a journalist, and has written for The Times, Sunday Times, Telegraph and Guardian. Louise lives in Surrey with her husband and two children, Lara and Joe.
Louise is the author of The Baker's Daughter cookbook and an ebook called A Life Shaped By Cakes: The Memoir of The Baker's Daughter.
