I am Shaqwan Tisdale the author of "The Broken Silence" and "A Long Way From the Highway". I am a person who has come so far yet has so far to go. A single father who is striving to live out his dream and to see the light of hope outside of the darkness that has surrounded my life. I admit to making many bad decisions, enduring countless disappointments, and experiencing many losses, not to mention a lifetime of having to live with the fear of silence; however, through God i have managed to use it all as a stepping stool to my success.
