Autorenporträt
Harry Roegner, the grandson of the title character, Harry Van Duyne, is a graduate of Princeton and UC at Berkley, spent his career around the world in International Business, and, since retirement in 2000, has been writing books about people and events of historical significance. The Man of The Land is an outgrowth of his earlier book, Gerrit, which describes the life and times of the first Van Duyne to arrive in North America in 1649.
