Autorenporträt

As a child, Georgie Cornwell was captivated by the illustrative works of Arthur Rackham, particularly his illustrations in her favourite books Alice in Wonderland and Midsummer Night's Dream. This was paralleled with a fascination for mermaids, which has never left her. At age twelve, she attended art school and later taught art and design. Taking time out to raise her children, her creative side took time out too, until she became a grandmother to her darling Jasmine. Who, by a not so strange coincidence, also loved mermaids. Tired of all the familiar stories, Jasmine craved something new. Hence, Marissa was born.
