Growing up as a teenager, the author of this book had a lot of obstacles to overcome. Even though he had a lot of caring people giving him good advice, he had no one to guide him. To protect him from harm his father moved him out of the house into a one room apartment. There the author began to support himself, and at the same time began reading, writing, and speaking the English language by teaching himself. He helped himself by acknowledging the facts of what he believed life was all about, and which helped him succeed in life, and he would like his readers to know the reasons that he believed helped him be successful. 1. Walk and work for your goals. That's reality. And don't just wait, wish, and want. That's a never dream coming true. 2. Put distance between you and the people who are bad influence including those that you love and care for. 3. God gave us the beginning and the end. What happens in between is up to us. 4. Don't blame your failure on your bad upbringing. It is the past in your life, not your future. 5. Don't be afraid of not succeeding, but be disappointed of not trying.
