First published in 1896 by the master of storytelling Andrew Lang, "A Monk of Fife" is a first-person narrative of the adventures of a young Scot in France with Joan of Arc from 1429 to 1431. Lang was a prolific Scots man of letters, a poet, novelist, literary critic and contributor to anthropology. He now is best known as the collector of folk and fairy tales.
