Lola Wood is a sixteen year old girl from Waybalt walk in a small town called Truebridge. She is a lover of fantasy reading and always has her head inside a book. She lives with her mother Lisa, her stepfather John and her youger brother Oscar who is five years old. Her father left with no contact when she was younger and she hasnt seen him since. She has just started to work her summer holidays in the Worlds of Words bookstore that her mother also works at. Lola's head is always in the clouds and she imagines all the good things they could have in life, often shutting herself down as nothing good happens to the people that live in Truebridge. Waking up on a mossy verge face to face with a fuzzy tangerine horn quail was not the norm, thankfully for Lola help arrived in the shape of Liri Sweetshore. Fairy's protect thier land and their people and she offers to keep Lola, for one night safe and protected from harm, safely sending her on her way the next morning. Little does she know that Lola's safety is far from protected, the realm around them is out for her harm and nobody will be able to save her from where she is heading. Historical tradgedy comes back to bite them all again, in the form of Lola who was summoned to the palace by the princess Annia. Nobody knows why she was called upon by a Princess who has been mute for many years, but the truth's will soon come to light.
