Was I born unlucky, or was I just too naive? I was so young, barely old enough to understand the world and its cruelty while surrounded by people who took advantage of that. This is the story of how my innocence was exploited by the needs and selfishness of everyone around me and how I used my pretend life to overcome the obstacles I faced. Autorenporträt
My name is Pushpa. I was born in India in 1942, moved to England in 1969 and have been living in Canada since 1991. I am now in my late 70's. I am a mother of five and a grandmother of seven who sadly witnessed the loss of my youngest daughter and one of my granddaughters. I enjoyed the tranquility of water color painting in my spare time while taking care of my grandchildren and my special needs daughter when we lived together. Now, I live in an apartment on my own and do a little less painting as my hands shake. However, I enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of my senior years, as well as the beauty of all that life offers. Seeing the successes of my family fulfills all that I had missed when I was a child and reinforces my very purpose of being a support to them.
