An obnoxious cat magazine journalist is found dead at the bottom of a non-working elevator shaft and the police determine it is murder. This being the first big convention the hotel has had, Nora attempts to solve the journalist's murder but finds she is allergic to cats and sneezes at the most inappropriate times. The most curious thing about the murder is they find traces of dog hair on the dead journalist's jacket. The convention organizers threaten sheriff Tuck's aunt Marty with ruin, so Nora must find the canine-loving murderer.

Teresa Trent started out teaching English in Colorado, but life and children intervened, and with all that new spare time, she began writing. Besides The Swinging Sixties Series, Teresa has penned the Pecan Bayou, Piney Woods and Henry Park Mystery Series and always has a little idea in the back of her mind for the next one. She is also the author of several short stories and is teaching writing at her local library encouraging new writers. Teresa lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and son.
