Philip Hamrick is a retired assistant fire chief. He was forced to retire in 2013 due to health issues. He drew on his love of science fiction, his love for two Australian TV series from Johathan M. Shiff, and divine inspiration to come up with an idea for a book that would create a completely new world with both mer people and humans existing on the same planet. After much thought and brainstorming, Poseidon's Legacy came to life.
