Alvis (affectionately known as 'Al' amongst family and friends) Smith served as a soldier with the United States Army for almost two decades. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper; he was also part of the (RIP) Ranger Indoctrination Program. Al also did two tours in Iraq, receiving many accommodations and awards. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Vincenza, Italy, and Fort Benning, Georgia. He was a platoon sergeant at Fort Benning and in Italy.
Al Smith is a tenacious, hardworking, goal oriented, self-determined professional real estate broker. His accomplishments in real estate are a result of his clearly defined goals. He spent 20 years as a real estate agent and a real estate broker in Georgia and New York. Al was a real estate broker at Coldwell Banker in New Rochelle, after which he worked at Better Homes and Garden Rand Realty in the Bronx and in Yonkers.
In April of 2020, Al suffered a stroke, that impacted him both mentally and physically. He laid on the floor inside his Mamaroneck, New York apartment for two days before Clayton, his dear friend, contacted him and summoned emergency services and the paramedics.
