Gewurztraminer and the World: Culinary Pairings for Every Palate! Understanding food and wine pairing is a Wine Lover's Dream. In this book Gewurztraminer meets Culinary Delights. We reveal simple key factors worth knowing to match the distinctive wine styles to different cuisines. The book also offers ten delicious recipes that dance perfect with the robust and flavorful grape Gewürztraminer. Each pairing highlights the unique characteristics of the wine.

Gewürz means "herb" or "spice". Treasured for its intense floral and spicy aromas, Gewürztraminer has thrived for centuries in the foothills of the Alps and the Vosges Mountains. This is a very aromatic and intense grape with a wide range of styles. Most of the wines smell sweet, thanks to it's tropical fruit and floral notes, however, many wines are dry and have little to no sugar. The grape is grown in Europe and the "New World" like California and Northern Michigan, New Zealand and Mendoza, the most important wine region of Argentina and in the far south of Chile. In the Middle East, the grape is grown in the Golan Heights.

A Taste of Gewürztraminer is illustrated with beautiful and inspiring pictures, also for each recipe. Although wine can be complicated, the text is easy to read so that the subject wine - food - and recipes, and why the components fit perfectly together, becomes understandable. This is the content of the book. Well read, and cheers.

Autorenporträt
Trude Helén Hole is a Norwegian Author. She had her first article published at the age of thirteen and has written articles for several magazines. As a little girl she took an early decision to become an author. Her first novel was finished in 1994, but 12 years went by including some years in Australia where she worked with horses. Back in Norway she worked 6 years with wine before her first novel came in 2006. The Truth about Lotte-Marie sold 6000 and set a Norwegian record for a debutant.

The books are UNISEX. Hole has written 13 books, among them 4 about the pretty rough and sensitive Lotte-Marie. Humor, irony, intelligence, romance, sex, mysteries and crime are good readings for both men and women of all ages. The character's complexity and her strength is fascinating, but even the strongest can become fragile and insecure.

Good entertainment and humor are universal, but the books about Lotte-Marie also ask important questions regarding societal development and human behavior, which makes the books highly socially relevant, and Hole¿s articles about leadership are widely used in management and academic literature, as well in her own books.

Trude Helén Hole masters the art of balancing strength and vulnerability, humor and seriousness. Her pen is fast, steady and easygoing. Her texts are unique both in form and content and Hole has almost created her own literary genre with her books about Lotte-Marie.
