Autorenporträt
Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Chandra is presently Deputy Director and Professor at Amity Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity University, Noida. Earlier, he was Director at the School of Physical Sciences, SRTM University, Nanded (Maharashtra); Director at the School of Physical Sciences; and Dean of Students at SMVD University, Katra (J&K). He is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (London), a Fellow of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences (Pune), an Associate Member of the Third World Academy of Sciences (Italy), a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany), Life Member of the International Astronomical Union, and Life Member of several other national academic bodies.

He has published 152 research papers in journals of international repute, has written 20 books and 32 scientific articles, and has participated in 75 international/national conferences. He has successfully completed 13 research projects funded by various agencies in India.

Dr. Mohit Kumar Sharma is a National Postdoctoral Fellow of SERB, DST, New Delhi, at Amity Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity University, Noida. Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Professor at ITM University, Gwalior. He has received the Young Scientist Award (2014) from the Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata. As a brilliant student throughout, he earned his Ph.D. (Physics) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He is the co-author of eight textbooks and has published 22 research papers in journals of international repute. He is a Life Member of the Astronomical Society of India; Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata; Indian Society of Atomic & Molecular Physics; Indian Association of Physics Teachers; and Astro-chemistry Society of India.
