STAN JOHNSTON is a writer, editor, and marketing consultant who lives in Pollock Pines, California. After growing up in St. Louis and attending Missouri's School of Journalism, he started his career as a newspaper writer and editor. That included stints as sports editor of The Sacramento Bee and St. Louis Sun. After moving to corporate communications with The McClatchy Company, he left the newspaper industry for Information Technology.
