The stories are set in both the awe-inspiring Alexandria and Cairo, and Egypt is described through a unique form of both storytelling and poetry, delivering a style of writing both unique to Shaneela's writing style, whilst also complementing the literary style of Egypt's native language - Arabic. This book portrays Egypt in the eyes of a foreigner and from the perspective of a foreigner, and it is to document the feelings and emotions that a foreigner living in Egypt experiences,addressing all that has become both stereotypical about Egypt, in terms of its people and its famous contribution to the history of civilisation.
