Der Autor wurde 1971 in Gelsenkirchen geboren und verbrachte den Großteil seiner Kindheit mit seiner Mutter, Stiefvater und seinen Geschwistern im Bergischen Land. Seine Kreativität, Kommunikationsfähigkeit und Empathie wurden insbesondere in dieser Zeit entwickelt und deutlich geprägt. Beruflich ist der ausgebildete Maler und Lackierer Michael Ilchmann bereits seit vielen Jahren beim WDR in Köln tätig. Erst als Maler, dann als Werkstattleiter, Disponent und heute als ¿Einkäufer¿. Als leidenschaftlicher Handwerksmeister und kreativer Mensch hat er sich nun erstmals dem Schreiben zugewandt und dabei gleich mit seiner bewegenden Biografie ¿Ein ganz norMaler, königsblauer Steinbock¿ den Anfang darin gemacht.
