Printed in the United States of America. Book Vine Press 2516 Highland Dr. Palatine, IL 60067 Jarita Latonya Berry was born on February 26, 1977. She was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois right outside of Chicago. She spent many summers with her family on the East Coast in Delaware, Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey. She was raised surrounded by a large extended family with Southern roots. Jarita's love of reading came from spending long summers in the local library. There she felt she could escape the world around her and live within the walls of the books. Her imagination was very vivid. Jarita graduated from East Aurora High School and graduated college at Northern Illinois University. Jarita has written for college newspapers, freelance written in Virginia, and added to her college professor's books. She obtained her Master's degree from Alabama State University, and she has worked in the field of education for nearly 20+ years. Her first book is "A Very Special Girl Named Tonya."
