When developing the story, I needed something that would focus on the love and guidance I wanted to give my nephew. He had to know that his aunt would always have his best interest at heart for as long as I live and beyond. And just like that, a character named Aazi Bear came to mind-a toddler who would need assistance with life's growing pains. Then, the fact that I am Aazi's aunt added the key piece to my beloved story. I thought, I am going to use an ant to represent myself! It was at that moment, my thoughts were filled with numerous scenarios and storylines. And the very first story would give an introduction on how Aazi Bear met Ant Waazi. Aazi Bear's journey begins as he's dropped off for his first day of school. The very shy and occasionally funny Aazi Bear copes with change by unknowingly creating an imaginary friend name Waazi, who appears when Aazi Bear's experiencing a vulnerable or difficult time. Waazi hopes to ease Aazi Bear's deepest fears, assist with confidence, and lend wisdom when necessary.
