In Mississippi, there exists a group of corrupt politicians and judges, dishonest law enforcement officers, and unscrupulous businessmen intent on enhancing their personal wealth and power. Through violence, terror and intimidation, they will stop at nothing in destroying the lives of anyone who might have the courage to oppose them. Murder, rape, assault, and political persecution are only some of the tactics employed to seek vengeance and stifle dissent. Led by disgraced Insurance Commissioner, Mike Chaney, and Sheriff Martin Pace, and protected by judges like Henry T. Wingate - an unrepentant Uncle Tom and accused sexual predator - they are the Axis of Corruption.

For nearly 20 years, they have been opposed by David G. Atwood, II. In July of 2011, Atwood published Into Hell I Rode, the first seminal work exposing decades of crimes and debauchery committed by the Axis of Corruption. Within weeks of the Into Hell I Rode book being published, the Axis of Corruption attempted to murder Atwood and, failing that, then moved to have him illegally framed and incarcerated for crimes he didn't commit. But Atwood fought back and eventually brought his oppressors to justice.

Ablaze is the story of Atwood's journey through the criminal justice system and his eventual stunning victory. Without an attorney, and with no formal legal training, Atwood successfully used the federal courts and civil rights laws to expose and punish the Axis of Corruption for their crimes against humanity.

This is a story of injustice, persecution, and abuse of power - a battle of good versus evil. No one who reads Ablaze will ever look at the criminal justice system and Mississippi law enforcement the same again.
