Chebbi's contribution was not limited to political poetry only. He contributed to the return of the romantic trend in Arabic poetry, influenced by European romantic poets. Chebbi is considered one of the most distinguished poets of his time. He watered poetry with his blood before his ideas until his poetry was known throughout the Arab world for its refinement and depth of experience. Here we mention that in the book "Studies in Contemporary Arabic Poetry," its author, Dr. Shawqi Dhaif, points out the varying psychological phases in Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi's poetic writings, which is what made him turn in his poem to an appeal to nature and the dream of a poetic life among the mountains and valleys in which he contemplates the universe and sings with the nightingale. But Abu al-Qasim's orientation towards nature in his poetry was linked to his mood. Sometimes they are melodies that seek beauty and swim in seas of serenity and purity. Now, let us recall some of Chebbi's poems, as they are the appropriate introduction to his poetic worlds embodied in this anthology.
