The Accreditation Process and Frameworks in Higher Education will provide a general framework and models for the process of accreditation and evaluation for the higher educational system. In this book we focus on the process and mechanism of the accreditation process focusing on countries like, Australia, Middle East, Southeast Asia, India, UK and US. As an example, we are defining three accreditation societies for the book's proposal, but we are not restricted to these three accreditation organizations in higher educational systems. The Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) is a non-profit, non-governmental agency that accredits programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology and provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates. The National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) is responsible for determining standards and criteria for academic accreditation and assessment and for accredited postsecondary institutions and the programs offered. AAA, is the American Accreditation Association, recognized internationally by the US government to provide accreditation worldwide, AAA accreditation programs are based on recognized international standards that ensure competency of its accredited organizations and global acceptance of its accreditations. This book will provide the guidelines and examples for the universities seeking accreditation at a national as well as international level. The models and frameworks of accreditation can be followed by any program seeking accreditation in the field of arts, medicines, social science, science and technology.
