He completed his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India, Masters in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, and PhD in Engineering from International Islamic University, Malaysia. Prior to joining Sunway University, he was an associate professor in the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. His primary research interests are in advanced nanomaterial synthesis for energy harvesting, storage, and conversion. He has over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles to his credit, as well as six edited books and five patents. For the year 2021, he was named one of the top 2% of the world's most influential scientists in the field of material science. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), U.K. Dr Yuri Park holds a PhD degree in Chemistry from the Queensland University of Technology (2013). After that, she joined the Department of Green Chemistry (DGC), Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Finland, where she worked as an Assistant Professor. Later, she was inducted into the Brain Pool Program (BP Program) in Korea and is currently a Research Professor at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Institute of Environmental Technology. She has core competence in the synthesis of sustainable nanomaterials and their application for environmental remediation application, using advanced water treatment methods, particularly with Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), including UV, Ozone, and photo(electro)catalysis, and chemical analysis of environmental contaminants including analytical method development/validation. The main outlets for her articles in the past seven years are quartile one (Q1) international journals in the fields of chemistry, material science, earth & planetary science and environmental science and engineering. Examples of high impact journals in which she published her work include Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Chromatography A, Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemosphere, Journal of Chromatography A, Environmental Science: Water Research & Technology, and Journal of Environmental Engineering Dr. Rama Rao Karri is a Professor (Sr. Asst) in Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei Darussalam. He has obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Masters from IIT Kanpur, and Bachelors from Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam. He has worked as a Post-Doctoral research fellow at NUS, Singapore for about six years and has over 18 years of working experience in Academics, Industry, and Research. He has led the water resources cluster team at UTB (2015-2017), focusing on Water-Energy Nexus, Smart Water and Environmental Management. His research activities mainly focus on developing modelling methods for systems with inherent uncertainties in multidisciplinary fields. He has experience of working in multidisciplinary fields and has expertise in various evolutionary optimization techniques and process modeling. He has published 150+ research articles in reputed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings with a combined Impact factor of 479.2 and has an h-index of 24 (Scopus - citations: 2100+) and 26 (Google Scholar -citations: 2500+). Among 75 journal publications, 60 articles published are Q1 and high IF journals. He is an editorial board member in 10 renowned journals and peer-review member for more than 93 reputed journals, and peer reviewed more than 410 articles. Also, he handled 112 articles as an editor. He also has the distinction of being listed in the top 2% of the world's most influential scientists in the area of environmental sciences and chemical for Year 2021. The List of the Top 2% Scientists in the World compiled and published by Stanford University is based on their international scientific publications, number of scientific citations for research, and participation in the review and editing of scientific research. He is also a recipient of Publons Peer Reviewer Award as top 1% of global peer reviewers for Environment & Ecology and Crossfield categories for the year 2019. He is also delegating as advisory board member for many international conferences.
