Chapter two explores the household-related factors on energy-efficient behavior. Chapter three discusses recent heterogeneous photocatalysis trends and applications aiming at the removal of the main antibiotics commonly found in aquatic environments (Sulfamethaxazole - SMX, Ciprofloxacin - CIP and Tetracycline - TET). Chapter four focuses on confirming the available and relevant literature on electrocoagulation. Chapter five focuses on recent developments in reactor geometries and electrode arrangements. Chapter six emphasizes an overview of metal phytoaccumulation parameters, metal accumulation cases in aquatic angiosperms, significance of metal phytoaccumulation capacity in phytostabilization, also other possible applications including ameliorating the quality of wastewater, of water effluents coming from various industrial plants and metals chronically polluted water from mining activities. Chapter seven reviews how Plasma-Activated Water (PAW) affects the physical and chemical properties of starch, the industrial applications of PAW-modified starches and the challenges and limitations of PAW use.
