Part I of the volume looks at environmental topics that include an exploration of the challenges of the global water crisis and new technology in nanofiltration and water purification. Some of the advanced technologies discussed in Part II include the application of quantum dots, a nanochemical approach to using ICT technology, and new research on polymer nanocomposites as a smart material along with its synthesis, preparation, and properties. Alexander V. Vakhrushev, DSc, is a Professor at the M.T. Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University as well as Chief Researcher of the Department of Information-Measuring Systems of the Institute of Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Head of the Department of Nanotechnology and Microsystems of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University. He has over 400 publications to his name, and he is an editorial board member of several journals. Suresh C. Ameta, PhD, is Dean, Faculty of Science at PAHER University, Udaipur, India. He has served as Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at North Gujarat University Patan and at M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur, and as Head of the Department of Polymer Science. Dr. Ameta was previously President of the Indian Chemical Society and is now a life-long Vice President. Having more than 350 research publications to his credit in national and international journals, he is also the author of books and book chapters. Heru Susanto, PhD, is Head of the Information Division and Researcher at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Computational & IT Governance Research Group. At present he is also an Honorary Professor at the Department of Information Management, Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan. Dr. Susanto has worked as an IT professional in several roles, including Prince Muqrin Chair for Information Security Technologies at King Saud University. A. K. Haghi, PhD, is the author and editor of over 165 books, as well as 1000 published papers in various journals. Dr. Haghi has received several grants, consulted for a number of major corporations, and is a frequent speaker to national and international audiences. Since 1983, he served as professor at several universities. He is the former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering and Polymers Research Journal and is also a member of the Canadian Research and Development Center of Sciences and Cultures.
