Dr. Ayman S. Mosallam is a professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a professor, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering Technology and served as the director of the UCI Structural Engineering Testing Hall at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at University of California, Irvine (UCI). He is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). In 2019 through 2022, he was listed among the top 2% researchers in Civil Engineering worldwide. He is a registered structural professional engineer in the District of Colombia and has more than forty years of experience in pultruded composites, with emphasis on its durability performance and effect of fire materials. He started his research on pultruded composites since 1985 and since then he has been an international leading authority in this area. Again, this training course was taught in different region in the USA and abroad.
Prof. Brahim El Bhiri
Brahim El Bhiri is a professor of Telecommunication and embedded systems at the Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI: Ecole Marocaine des Sciences de l’Ingenieur). He is the director of R&D&I at the same school and the head of SMARTiLab Laboratory of Research, Development, and Innovation.
He has over 11 years of experience in the field of electronics, wireless sensor networks, data processing, and embedded system. He has published more than thirty papers in international scientific journals and international conferences. He is the author of 2 books and 10 book chapters, published by leading international publisher like Springer. He has received several awards, one of them a best paper award from Italy at the seventh SENSORCOMM’2013 International Conference. He is a reviewer at more than five scientific journals and a researcher and a deputy project manager of several projects.
Vistasp M. Karbhari:
Vistasp M. Karbhari is a professor of Civil Engineering, and Mechanical and AerospaceEngineering at the University of Texas Arlington where he served as President from 2013-2020. He is an expert in the processing and mechanics of composites, durability of materials, infrastructure rehabilitation and multi-threat mitigation. He is a fellow of the AAAS, NAI, ASCE, ASM International, IIFC, ISHMII, ASCE’s SEI, and is an elected member of the European Academy of Science and Arts.
Prof. Shadi Saadeh
Dr. Shadi Saadeh is a professor of civil engineering at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), where he has served as a faculty member since 2007. He worked for Texas Transportation Institute (TTI), 2003–2005, and Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC), 2006–2007. He received his B.Sc. in civil engineering from the University of Jordan (1997), M.Sc. in civil engineering from Washington State University (2002), and Ph.D. in civil engineering from Texas A & M University (2005).
His research focuses on topics directly related to granular materials, including asphalt mixes and its constituents. His main research areas are constitutive modeling of highway materials at the microstructural level, preservation technologies, sustainability and life-cycle assessment, performance of highway infrastructure, experimental characterization of highway materials using X-ray computed tomography (CT), image analysis techniques, and mechanical testing.
