Produktbeschreibung
Reception for previous book: Everill's Not Made By Slaves was reviewed positively in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Jacobin, London Review of Books, and elsewhere.

Platform: Everill is the reviews editor of The Historical Journal and has written for Foreign Policy, the TLS, Smithsonian Magazine, and BBC History Magazine. She has appeared on Thoughtlines, History Extra, and BBC Radio Four's In Our Time.

Affiliations: Princeton University, where she is in the Princeton Writing Program; Cambridge University, where she is former director of its Centre of African Affairs; the Royal Historical Society, where she is a fellow.

Relevance: Even with an estimated GDP of $3.1 trillion, and an expected growth rate of 4.3%, Africa&rsduo;s debt crisis (currently at $1.15 trillion, or 29% of the GDP) is curtailing the prospects of future investment, from either foreign or domestic sources. Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda, in particular, are facing political unrest due to spiraling debt repayments. Everill is well placed to comment on this evolving situation.

Promotion: Extensive outreach to academic circles, such as the African Studies Association, and International Studies Association, as well as a resource for policymakers looking to understand the complicated history of intervention in African affairs. Infographics for social media and Amazon A+ content will help summarize the key points for the consumer market.
