Undeniably, no generation has degraded the environment more than those in the 21st century. Refreshingly, the recognition of a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment as a human right by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2022 demonstrates the extent to which the protection of the environment is now seen as inexorable. It is thus incumbent on all to realize that the current generation does not own the environment but has borrowed it from future generations. Regrettably, that consciousness is lost on us as a people, and this is principally why the author has gone to great lengths to produce this well-researched book. It is a masterpiece by all standards and shall undoubtedly remain relevant for succeeding generations.
