Jennifer and Daniel work together. They've been pretending for months that they don't like each other. As in like like.

Daniel is laid back but at work, he is serious and professional. He doesn't date colleagues, doesn't want the mess that might create. Jennifer displays calm efficiency, leaving most of her colleagues with the impression she's just a corporate robot. Then Daniel's career takes a turn that he can't avoid. It will mean him working overseas for several months. Jennifer wonders if their relationship will survive the separation, especially as it's inexplicably heading towards the rocks. As though someone was steering things in that direction.

When Jennifer has to deal with devastating news, will Daniel get home in time to help her pick up the pieces?

Ann has loved books and reading for as long as she can remember. Even as a small child, give her a book and time to herself and she'd be happy. She discovered romantic novels in her early teens and that genre became a staple of her book consumption, along with thrillers and general fiction. Ann was born in London and currently lives in a small town just outside south London, where she loves to potter in her garden. They are the Ann Butler Podcast of book chats, usually around 5 minutes long and the Book Griffin Podcast of slightly creepy short stories about 10 minutes long. When Ann isn't writing, podcasting or gardening, she's going on long walks, working out or catching up with family and friends.
