After the Sunset is a memoir of a woman who likes to travel and the cats that live in her back yard. It focuses on the beauty found in a landscape, a seascape, or a small corner of a city. It identifies animals seen in their native habitat. There are geographical, historical, and literary references to enhance a story and some humor to make you smile. It is a story about interacting with people and walking on beaches and cobblestone streets. There are responses to sunsets, and always there are stories about the cats.

Autorenporträt
Arlene Pullen grew up in a small New Jersey town with a brother and a sister. Leisure time was filled with outdoor activities. She graduated from college and experienced a lengthy but rewarding career as a teacher, using vacation time to visit Europe and Caribbean beaches. Her constant travel companions were a journal, two cameras, some books, and a wide-brimmed hat. Since retiring, she has visited forty-eight more countries and written a family history, three books of poetry, and three books of essays based on her travel experiences. After the Sunset is the last of the memoirs. She lives in New Jersey.
