Produktbeschreibung
Bill woke up from a 9-month coma only able to move his left arm an inch. He had a tracheotomy to help him breathe and a tube in his stomach that fed him. A 23-year-old physics major at the University of Colorado Boulder, he was out for a joy ride with his buddies when their car went out of control and Bill was thrown 40' and landed on his head in the street.

He was not given any chance of recovery.

With vulnerability and humor, Bill writes this story himself and tells what it is like to be paralyzed and his tenacious 36-year journey to learn to walk again. His recovery required tremendous effort and a lot of time in the gym and in therapy. Bill learned to live a full life that included many exciting activities such as navigating a ropes course, river rafting, snow skiing, and even dancing. Most of all, Bill's story is about becoming a better person and having a strong faith in God.

Autorenporträt
Bill Inman is the survivor of a critical, traumatic brain injury due to a car accident that happened in May 1981. His injuries were so severe that doctors had no hope he would even live, let alone recover. After months in a coma, Bill had to learn to do everything all over again. He spent the last 36 years learning to walk. In addition to the continuous effort he put into physical therapy, Bill earned his Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from Colorado Christian University in 2010. Bill has also enjoyed seven international cruises stating it is the best vacation for disabled persons because their hotel goes with them. Bill attended summer camps at Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado 32 times and claims he enjoyed it more than anyone there!
