Well, today is the big day. The whole week has been full of checking and double-checking, looking at maps and brochures of all the places we are going to stop. Its going to take longer than a month. Well just have to go with the flow! We will start in Houston, Texas. Our first leg of our adventure is Houston, Texas, to the Redwood Forest National Park in California. On the way back from the Redwood Forest, we will stop in Salina, California; then well head to Bakersfield, California; then over to Las Vegas; Tucson; Deming; New Mexico; Fort Bliss, Texas; San Antonio; and home to Houston, Texas. Jolynn Rose has lived in Oregon most of her life. She travelled with her husband while he was in the US Army with their two sons. At sixty years old, she found she liked to write. She joined forces with her mother, Lola Smith, who is eighty-one, to write six books: Roslander: The Island of the Merbeings, Roslanders: The Cities under the Sea, Tales of the Merbeings Clans: The Roslanders, Pagons and Imdom Clans, Agatha and Frank's Story: Stranded on Rosland Island, and The Mystery of Dixie Mountain, which is by Lola Smith. This is their latest book. They are looking forward to many more books they can write together.
