After seeing his father shot down by a band of bank robbers, twelve year old Albert McBray swears to bring them back to Boston, kill them or die himself in trying. A wealthy grandfather in London was proud of the boys resolve, but would not let him as it stood. Hand picking two men to teach the boy all he needed, he put them on a ship for Boston. After a year and a half of teaching, Albert 'Yank' McBray leaves Boston on his mission. He does a lot of growing up on the way to its end.
