Charles Lutwidge Dogson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was born on January 27, 1832 in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. He is the author of the classics "Alice¿s Adventures in Wonderland" (1865) and "Through the Looking-Glass" (1872). His works are characterized by his wonderful ability in the genre of literary nonsense. He died in 1898. This edition is illustrated by Arthur Rackham (1867-1939).
