George Stephanopoulos, geboren 1962, war Bill Clintons engster politischer Berater in dessen beiden Wahlkämpfen und erster Amtszeit und über die Grenzen der USA hinaus am Erfolg Tony Blairs beteiligt, bevor er Ende 1997 die politische Bühne verließ. Gegenwärtig ist er Gastprofessor an der Columbia University und politischer TV-Kommentator für ABC News.
