Autorenporträt
John Spicuzza, aka "Scooz" by friends and co-workers, was a firefighter/paramedic for forty-two years before retiring in the majestic foothills of North Carolina. He achieved an AS degree in Fire Science, a BS in business management, Executive Fire Officer (EFO) designation, and Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation.

He was involved in numerous aspects of thejob as an emergency room paramedic, EMT/Paramedic instructor, fire academy instructo, fire and EMS traiing officer, hazardous material technician and instructor, terroism instructor, and member of a state urban search and rescue (USAR) team.

On his days off he injoyed woodworking and obtained his contractor's license along with being a baseball coach and high-school wrestling official and coach. He is proud of his two sons following in his fottsteps with one being a firefighter and the other an EMT.
