S.E. Sasaki is a family physician with a B.Sc. in Biology and an M.Sc. in Neurophysiology. When she is not assisting as a surgical assistant in the operating room, she is writing or painting or skiing, scuba diving, playing tennis and often breaking bones. Her first novel, Welcome to the Madhouse, was short-listed for a Watty Award for best original novel in the science fiction/fantasy category in 2013.
