Sometimes there are dreams too big to make into a reality. This is a lesson that Leon Rivers has been fighting every day of his life alongside his siblings and father. More than anything, he wants to run his own farm and establish a life of his own. But working double shifts at the feed store isn't getting him close enough in his small Texas town. And when a new girl shows up, Leon finds himself sidetracked. Can he still buy the land he needs for his future, or will he lose himself in the moment alongside her? Will love or dreams win?
It hasn't been an easy life for the Rivers family and as the eldest brother, Leon Rivers is determined to improve their situation. Their small town isn't big enough for him. Both he and his father have a dream. A plan. Leon has worked multiple jobs throughout his life to try and pay off their debts and save up for the chance to purchase land. But challenge after challenge comes his way, forcing him to wait longer to make his dreams come true. Unless, of course, his dreams change.
As for Nancy O'Kennealy, it wasn't that she wanted to work at that particular feed shop, especially when there was a similar store much closer to her family's property. It was mostly that she wanted to see what her other options were should she wish to do something else with her life. In her effort to explore her options, she found Leon and begins to remember the wonders of working with the land.
Time waits for no man and especially not for young couples. While Leon is determined to make his dreams become their reality, Nancy is more than happy to enjoy what they already have. They must find a way to work together to build a future together, but if their plans differ, they will be forced to make some hard decisions.
Falling in love was simple enough for Leon and Nancy. Staying in love long enough to make a life together last, however, isn't that easy. Are they willing to make sacrifices for the person they love most? As Nancy learns to love in more ways than before, Leon needs to decide if love is enough. Can they make a life together with or without that farm? Can Leon let go of his dreams enough to keep Nancy in his future?
